The United States Tennis Association is looking for a hungry, self-starter to help support our growing Video Services department. The job includes, but is not restricted to organizing and managing digital video assets; digitizing and logging footage; helping to manage our digital server and physical tape library; preparing video files and materials for internal and external clients; basic editing and creating sub-clipping; the potential to grow your technical and production skills on field shoots, post production edits and animation projects.
Please note this is a Temporary, Part-time position but has the potential to turn into long term.
Ingest, digitize and upload assets to server from various digital and physical tape formats including XD Cam, Beta SP, DigiBeta, and HD Cam.
Log assorted footage
Monitor, maintain, transfer and decide how best to move assets between EVO server, LTO5 archive tapes and other external drive devices.
Service and support editors, technicians, and clients who request content for re-use in a fast paced playback/ingest environment.
Reconciliation and archival of completed and partial assets
Basic Editing (using Final Cut, Premiere or Avid) such as sub-clipping elements into timelines for export
Create Downloadable and Streaming links for internal or external clients
Help upload Commercial spots to Digital Delivery systems as needed
Interact with managers, other coordinators, and other team members regarding assets and their storage, re-use and fulfillment
Communicate and provide trouble reports and discrepancies to Managers and Maintenance
Assist on Video Shoots as needed
Attend meetings with manager as requested
Understanding of post-production workflow and latest production technology
Working knowledge of asset movement, storage, sequencing, naming conventions, etc.
Working knowledge of file-based formats and conversion techniques using Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere
Basic knowledge of various tape formats and tape machines and skilled at tape ingest to centralized file-based storage systems
Basic Knowledge of Final Cut Pro 7 & X, Avid Media Composer and Adobe CS 6 (Premiere, After Effects, Photo Shop) and file based workflows
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to interface with management and with other team members
Knowledge of technical and production operations in an evolving work-flow production environment
Understanding of video encoding and software, sample bit rates, and various file attributes associated with audio and video file creation
Must be able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines and high pressure
Must participate in training as required
Must be able to work different shifts and overtime during US Open Tennis Championship (Late August/Early September)
Sports/Tennis Knowledge a strong plus
Basic Knowledge of Field Production Gear including cameras, audio and lighting a plus
Must be a Self Starter
Must be able to commute to Westchester County
