Broadcast Relations Coordinator - WTA Tour (St. Petersburg, FL)

Summary:  Based in St. Petersburg, FL, the Broadcast Relations Coordinator will act as the on-site broadcast representative at selected tournaments throughout the season. The Broadcast Relations Coordinator will support the goals of the wider Marketing and Communications team and will be responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of a variety of documents and reports. This role will require a significant amount of international travel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily maintenance of WTA Broadcast's online resources ensuring information is always up to date.
  • Track volume and level of television production from each WTA tournament.
  • Create supporting documents to achieve the above using Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Maintain the online Where to Watch page ensuring information is always up to date.
  • Support Manager of Broadcast Relations in broadcaster outreach and servicing.
  • Manage WTA Media requests for various WTA tournament and player information.
  • Assist with the management and administration of the WTA archive when required.
  • Represents the WTA in all broadcast matters with the tournament.
  • Works with WTA Media / Host Broadcaster to ensure that all broadcast needs and obligations are being met.
  • Represents the best interests of Rights Holders in daily scheduling meetings. 
  • Facilitates cooperation between WTA Media, WTA Networks and WTA Communications relating to player access and filming opportunities.
  • Provide administrative support to the SVP Communications & Marketing and the wider MarComms team when required.

Desired Skills & Background

  • Bachelor's degree and two years’ work experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Tennis background/knowledge preferred
  • Outstanding customer relations with a mindset of service towards tournament members and broadcast partners
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills
  • The ideal candidate will also possess a passion for and understanding of the sport of tennis, related governing bodies and industry stakeholders
  • Must be able to travel approximately 30%.

Sales & Marketing: Graphic Design/Creative Services
Jr. Graphic Designer - WTA Tour (St. Petersburg, FL)

Position Summary:            
Based in St. Petersburg, FL, the Creative Services Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for producing creative materials for the WTA.  Responsibilities include collaborating with and assisting the Graphic Design Team in developing and producing all WTA corporate branding and creative designs, including but not restricted to sales, marketing, digital marketing, communications and advertising content (print, video, and web).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and produce print, video and web materials and original graphics for WTA and its members with emphasis in digital media, web banners, UI/UX, static and animated social graphics, infographics, email newsletters, advertising and marketing campaigns
  • Conceptualize and produce creative designs for WTA campaigns, events, invitations, collateral, presentations and special projects that integrate brand messaging and style guidelines
  • Execute design and production for identity development, corporate collateral, advertising and marketing campaigns that support strategic objectives
  • Blend photography, imagery, charts, text and multimedia elements to create high-impact proposals, presentations and reports
  • Copywriting
  • Animation graphics skills to support digital media team is a plus
  • Implement organizational skills to coordinate multiple graphic projects within scope, quality, time and budget of each project
  • Meet aggressive deadlines for design/production without sacrifice of quality
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and software

Ideal Experience and Traits

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of relevant work experience. Preferably University Education in Graphic Design, Advertising or similar field
  • Marketing, Advertising, Design Agency, or In-House creative experience
  • Strong experience with business software such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong experience in Creative Cloud – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects
  • Final Cut Pro or Premiere experience is a plus
  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge is a plus
  • Superior presentation and written communication skills
  • The ideal candidate will also possess a passion for and understanding of the sport of tennis, related governing bodies and industry stakeholders
  • Strong graphic design understanding of foundation principles (typography, layout, composition, color theory), production and hands-on skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work well under pressure and drive projects
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent analytic and organizational skills
  • Ability to liaise professionally with high profile clientele and league officials
  • Confidentiality
