The Sony Ericsson Open is looking for energetic, organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as Press Facilities Manager for one of the most prestigious tennis events in the world. The Press Facilities Manager will report to the Director of Media & Public Relations and will be responsible for managing all of the tournament’s press facilities including Media Center, Interview Rooms, Media Dining, Television and Radio Booths, Media Credentials and Photographer areas. The 2010 Sony Ericsson Open will be played March 22- April 4 at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Miami. The combined event is owned and operated by IMG. The Sony Ericsson Open is one of nine ATP Masters Series events on the ATP calendar, a top tier event on the Sony Ericsson WTA TOUR calendar, and features the top men's and women's tennis players in the world. Description: Rare internship opportunity to assist in running one of the world’s premier tennis event. Each intern is given enormous responsibility which offers great preparation and experience for future endeavors. Location: All positions (except those in “Facilities & Operations”) will work in the tournament office in downtown Cincinnati until the office moves to the tournament site in Mason, Ohio in July. The “Facilities & Operations” interns will spend their entire time in Mason. Dates: Internships begin and end based on the individual needs of each area.
