Description:
Rare internship opportunity to assist in running one of the world’s premier tennis event. Each intern is given enormous responsibility which offers great preparation and experience for future endeavors.

Location:
All positions (except those in “Facilities & Operations”) will work in the tournament office in downtown Cincinnati until the office moves to the tournament site in Mason, Ohio in July. The “Facilities & Operations” interns will spend their entire time in Mason.

Dates:
Internships begin and end based on the individual needs of each area. The tournament has intern openings that begin anywhere from mid-May through late July. Many intern positions will end on the last date of the tournament, August 22, while others will continue until the middle of September.

Qualifications:
Willingness, with a smile, to do whatever it takes to run the very best tournament possible. Computer and communication skills are required for all positions.

• Ticketing Intern (I & II) - May-August
• Ticketing Intern (III) - June-August
• Ticketing Intern (IV) - late July-August
• Marketing & Communications - May-August
• Hotel Operations (For Fans) - May-August
• Hotel Operations (for Players & VIP’s) - July-August
• Special Events - July-August
• Credentials I - June-August
• Credentials II - July-September
• Business Operations - July-September
• Facilities & Operations - May-August & June-Sept

Also, handling incoming phone ticket orders and helping others when needed is every intern’s responsibility as it is for permanent employees. Each intern also is required to provide a detailed wrap-up report on his/her experience with appropriate recommendations for the following year.

Normal Hours:
Prior to August 5:
Begin at 8:30 a.m. until 5 -7 p.m. Monday – Friday (in addition to occasional nights and weekends)

August 6-August 22 (during the tournament): Varies depending upon day and responsibilities, but generally from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.

Dress:
In Office - Appropriate “business casual” (no jeans, sneakers, shorts, t-shirts)
On-Site Before Tournament - business casual or work clothes depending upon job
During Tournament - Volunteer uniform (shirts provided by the tournament)

Compensation:
$1,200 per month
